Answers to some common questions

Yes, but it depends when you cancel. Cancellation fees differ according to the period of notice. Please see any tour page or our Terms and Conditions.

Our high season is April to May and October to November. If you visit in those periods, it is better to book at least three months in advance. Otherwise, the earlier the better to secure your tour.

Yes, it is your responsibility. Without travel insurance, we cannot accept your booking. For example, this travel insurance is available in Japan. It can be obtained after your arrival:

All group tours require two people to go ahead, but if you are alone and want to join our tour, please contact us. We may be able to offer you a tour even if we do not get enough participants.

It depends on what you want to see. Here are some ideas for your visit:

Cherry blossoms – mid-April

Fresh green colored mountains – May to June

Green rice paddies – July to August

Autumn colors – late September to mid-November (This depends on where you go. Trees in higher mountains start to change color as early as late September while those in towns wait until early November.)

The best way is by email. When I am conducting a tour, I cannot answer my cell phone.

Tipping is not a customary practice in Japan, but if our service exceeds your expectations and you wish to do so, we would accept gratefully.
